I now understand why they call it Magic city.
This past weekend I took part in the Ford Millennials Summit in Miami as part of the Ford Millennials team. Ford Millennials is an important initiative from Ford en Español that selects young and emerging Latino influencers from across the country and helps to nurture their growth and development.

In just about 48 hours we took part in Social Media Week Miami, the Miami Urban Music and Film Festival, the Viva Miami Expo, a tech and social media summit at FIU’s School of Mass Communications as well as the super awesome Calle 8 Noches Culturales series. It was two intense days of art, culture, community, learning and networking. I even got to see a horse dancing Salsa. Don’t believe me? Check the video below!
Only in Miami do the horses dance Salsa. Pero con un swing! #FordmillennialsTakeMiami #FordMillennials http://t.co/ZgTftSxGch

The most important part of the trip was meeting a whole host of people doing big things in their respective fields. We met such luminaries as Elianne Ramos, Steve Roitstein, Leonardo Ortiz and Lynn Ponder among many other awesome folks. I also got to spend quality time and share and learn from the rest of the Ford Millennials team; Goldin Martinez, Lupita Riestra, Adolfo Muñiz, Maria J. Haggen and Sal Cristian Frosceno. I would be remiss if I didn’t send to love to the people at Team Ford (Albert Collazo, Natascha Otero & Fernando Rodriguez) who went out of their way to show us a great time.

By the way, if you are in Miami you have to hit up the artsy Wynwood area as well as the open-air art gallery, Wynwood Walls. When in Wynwood it is a must that you dine at R House (2727 NW 2nd Ave) for some deliciously divine fare and simply sublime libations. Shout out to Chef/Owner Rocco Carulli for the love.
