A Word From Statement Arts
Thanks for taking the time to check out our campaign.
This summer Statement Arts is returning to Washington Heights and the esteemed United Palace of Cultural Arts to provide a free College Prep Program for 15 under-served New York City kids!
What We Want To Do
Last year we ran a College Prep Program for 10 New York City kids. The program was a HUGE success and every one of our kids is going onto higher learning institutions. Most of them got substantial scholarships. We are running it again this summer and will be drawing kids from all over the city. We have received tremendous support, not only from the community, but in past years, State Senator Adriano Espaillat and City Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez came to our Final Performance!

What We Need & What You Get
We’d like to offer every student an equal chance to participate at no cost to them. We have gotten several grants for this program but need to raise – at a minimum – an additional $15,000 to cover the summer portion. All money raised will go towards paying for:
- Classroom, rehearsal and performance spaces
- College application fees
- School supplies
- SAT prep books and tutors
- Individualized case management services
- Teachers’ stipends
- Transportation and MetroCards for the kids
- Supplies, props and costumes
This is a yearlong project and any supplemental money raised will go towards the costs associated with running the fall and winter sessions. Whatever you are able to give: $10, $50, or $200, we promise it will make an impact.
As a 501(c)(3), all money donated to Statement Arts is tax-deductible!
