That’s right folks; the New York International Latino Film Festival’s always awesome Dominican Night will be held on Thursday, August 18^th at the Columbia University Medical Center’s Alumni Auditorium (630 W. 168^th St).

Making its New York Premiere will be La Hija Natural, which is a poignant coming of age story that centers on a young woman searching for her biological father after the death of her mother. I am, personally, looking forward to this movie as it represents the refreshingly new approaches and directions that Dominican cinema is embarking upon.

Get this: For $25 you not only get to see the NYC premiere of La Hija Natural but you also get admission to the Heineken sponsored After-Party as well as a one-year subscription to Latina Magazine.
