A Word From The Pollidore Family
This morning, May 8th, 2019, in Harlem, a tremendous tragedy occurred in the Pollidore family! We lost my older sister, Andrea who some know as Drea or Nadine and her 4 youngest children: Nakyra (11), Andre (8), Brook-Lynn (6), and Elijah (4) in a house fire. If you knew Nadine, you knew her cooking, love for music, dancing, and passion for helping others by giving someone a plate of food whether familiar or a stranger, letting someone without a place to stay crash at her house or through her passion for patients via medical assisting. My nieces and nephews lit up any room with their smiles, energy, bright and bold personalities and overload of hugs and kisses once they saw you. They were known and loved by many in the community where they lived and went to school. We would have celebrated Nakyra’s 5th grade graduation this June along with her and Andre’s birthday in July, which they looked forward to. As you can imagine, this is very shocking and heartbreaking. They meant the world to us. This still seems so unreal that they are gone.
We are asking for any financial help that you can offer to go towards covering the funeral expenses and any other related costs of our 5 loved ones. Whether or not you are able to financially support us, we ask that at the very least, you please pray for our family as we cross your minds in the months to come. Thanks in advance.
