This Washington Heights Hip-Hop movement is only getting stronger. Case in point: The WHIN By Any Means 2.5 showcase that took place on Tuesday, January 15th at Agua Roja (212 Nagle Ave). WHIN 2.5 was taking place to deal with the fact that some artists didn’t get to perform at WHIN 2 because the cops shut it down before it was over due to the over-the-top turnout at Empire Fashion Boutique. Guess what? This event also got shutdown because of over-crowding by the cops but not before a standing-room only crowd was treated to simply amazing performances by Frankie, GTO, Da Key, Arinn Aldo, Tellie Floydd, Art and Mr. Bravo just to name a few. I have to also shout out the mighty IOD camp, Ace IOD and Dubwork killed it as usual. Mike “DP” Jones and The Real Eman did their thing as hosts of the festivities as well.
