Spread love it’s the Uptown way, especially during the holidays. And there is no better love than hyper-local love. By keeping and circulating those dollars Uptown, you are contributing to the well being of the entire neighborhood. The Off the Map Market taking place tomorrow at Bread & Yoga (4951 Broadway @ 207th Street) from 1:30 to 9 PM is that principle put into practice. With that said, here is the 2nd installment of the UC holiday gift guide.
Like I’ve said before, you need this coffee in your life. This is not Bustelo. This is that pure, unadulterated, organic java straight from the Dominican countryside. Liga Masiva practices what is referred to as “Direct Trade” paying the coffee farmers up to 200% more then they would earn otherwise. Liga Masiva is the real deal, helping struggling Dominican farmers in the DR and providing a superb product for consumers around the world. By purchasing Liga Masiva’s coffee you get to participate in that circle of awesomeness. From the DR to your door, what could be better than that? If you are still not convinced stop by La Sala 78 (111 Dyckman St) and pick up a bag.

After a long run and winning multiple awards as well as the Tony for Best Musical in 2008, the Broadway run of this ground-breaking show is coming to an end. Lin-Manuel Miranda will be back playing Usnavi from December 25th through the last show on January 9th. These tickets will not last so make sure you see this show before the final curtain falls. You won’t be disappointed. After the show, come back Uptown and patronize one of our many fine restaurants.
