A 12-story affordable housing complex in East Harlem is one step closer to completion, as construction on Acacia Gardens, a 179-unit building created by the Acacia Network, has ended the structural phase.
On Thurs., Oct. 26th, Acacia celebrated the end of the initial construction phase – the symbolic “topping off” of the structure – by treating construction workers to lunch at the site.
The project is slated for completion in August 2018. Located at 413 East 120th Street, Acacia Gardens will feature a combination of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, as well as studio apartments.
All of the units are earmarked as affordable housing and will be filled by lottery.
