CHALK (Choosing Healthy & Active Lifestyles for Kids) has issued a call for applications to community based organizations and initiatives that support healthy lifestyles for school-aged children in Washington Heights/Inwood.
Mini grants are awarded to fund either new or ongoing initiatives that increase access to and knowledge about healthy foods and eating habits, and/or physical activity. Proposals should have the potential to be sustainable after seed grant funding and/or identify a plan for continuation beyond the grant funding.
Awards of $2,000 will be granted to up to 10 applicants. Funds will be awarded based on merits of submitted proposals.
*Please note that grants will only be awarded to initiatives/organizations that target the local population of Washington Heights and Inwood.
