Everyone is buzzing about ABC’s newest Drama, American Crime, which airs Thursday night at 10 pm est. First of all, the series is written by John Ridley, the screenwriter of 12 Years a Slave. American Crime exudes gravitas, grit and nuance. The show takes a long, hard and unflinching look at race, crime and class in America. Uptown’s own Elvis Nolasco joins a diverse cast that includes Timothy Hutton, Felicity Huffman, Regina King, Johnny Ortiz and Caitlin Gerard among many other talented actors. American Crime is proof positive that we are indeed enjoying a new TV Golden Age.
