My name is Led Black and I am a WNYC addict. I listen to it all day, everyday. Whether it’s on the radio at home or in the car, streaming on my MAC, or on the handy WNYC smartphone app, WNYC has become a fixture in my life and I am a better-informed, more knowledgeable person because of it. Since WNYC gives so much to me on a daily basis, I just made a small donation to the station on their first day of their fall pledge drive as a way of giving back. WNYC is a not-for-profit, independent news source that is publicly funded and if we don’t support, it may cease to exist.
I recently had the privilege of receiving a guided tour of the WNYC office and studios and I saw firsthand how much work, brainpower and talent is marshaled to make the magic that takes place on a daily basis. Whether it’s news, science, technology, arts, or culture, WNYC provides the very best coverage, bar none. With that said, I think it is a great idea to contribute to the cause and make a tax-deductible donation to WNYC.
