inQbator is a monthly reading, spoken word, and performance art program series focusing on LGBT literature and culture. Created by artist, Hector Canonge, director of the recognized film program CINEMAROSA, inQbator supports emerging local and national Queer writers and artists by featuring their work and publications. Starting in February 2012, the program is hosted at Word Up: Community Bookshop in northern Manhattan, and is curated by guest poets and writers.
inQbator invites Queer writers, poets and spoken word artists to submit work for the first reading program of 2012. Participating writers are invited to bring their poems, short stories, essays or selected narratives for a public reading in one of the most dynamic community bookshops in Upper Manhattan.
