Tuesday Jan. 24 Afternoon Tea at Park
Tea by Tiffany founder Tiffany Denise has been hosting tea parties across city. She started as a holistic and wellness instructor and wants to infuse tea into a coffee-driven culture. Tuesday, Denise is hosting afternoon tea from 1-5 pm. She’ll have graceful service as well as a selection of organic teas, sandwiches, petite fours, biscuits, scones and chilled drinks.

Saturday Jan. 28 Bird Watching with The Nature Conservancy
The Nature Conservancy is the world’s largest land, river and animal saver. Saturday morning, they’re hosting a bird watching session with artist Grace Markman. Kids 18 months and older will get a reading of Feathers for Lunch and engage in a chat about the birds they can see around the city. Plus, they’ll learn how to make binoculars out of recycled materials. The session is from 10:30-11:30 am. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Saturday Jan. 28 Architect in Residence
Andrew Haner, principal at sun|tect: architecture, sets up a 5-cent Lucy Peanuts-style booth at the park for the day. Architecture can be intimidating, and Haner will chat with park visitors about projects they’d consider for their own lives. All loose change will be donated to NYC Habitat for Humanity.
Thursday Feb. 2 Nerd Nite Trivia Night
Nerd Nite has been hosting trivia out of Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO for years. We met them at the CNET Gotham pop up and invited them to host trivia night at the park. Entry is $10 per person and you can sign up teams with up to six players. There are two seatings – one at 7 pm and one at 9 pm. Hosted by Nerd Nite founder Matt Wasowski who can be reached at [email protected]. Winning team gets Fatboy, Built NY and Apple gear.

Friday Feb. 10 CreativeMornings with Charles Renfro
CreativeMornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types like Maria Popova and Justin Gage. On Friday Feb. 10, CreativeMornings comes to the pop-up park and hosts Charles Renfro, a principal at Diller, Scofidio and Renfro, the architectural firm that built The High Line, Lincoln Center, Boston Contemporary Art Museum and dozens of classic buildings. Renfro will talk about The High Line starting at 8:30 am.
