The Brooklyn Uptown connection was in full effect this past Wednesday at The Sound of Art’s (SOA) When Brooklyn Invades Uptown event held at Apt. 78. Not only were we treated to brilliant artwork courtesy of artists Jackson Hunt and Eric Diehl but the gathered attendees were also regaled by the sounds of the mind-blowing live band, Mobius Collective. The icing on the cake was a music genre hopping set by none other than DJ Saundi Wilson. Another benefit of the function is that a whole slew of folks from outside the neighborhood came out to party with us and see how Uptown gets down. By the same token, Uptown got a taste of BK. A little borough cross-pollination is always a good thing. I think the SOA will have to do another one of these shindigs pretty soon. By the way, if you missed the event, the artwork will be on sale and on display at Apt. 78 (4447 Broadway) until June.
