It’s better at the top. At least that’s the underlying sentiment of many Inwood residents and business owners.

“The parks are what attracted me,” said off-and-on 15-year resident Lucia Stroub. “And that’s what kept me here.”

“The same for Scott Loane and his wife Nell Chang, who have called Inwood home for four years.

““The 1920s-style architecture also drew me in,” Loane said. “Here it’s almost like not part of Manhattan yet you’re close to everything.”
