Every year in Inwood, people take to the streets to shoot off sky-high fireworks as their neighbors look on in awe.

It’s a Fourth of July tradition in the neighborhood, and it’s getting a new life on film.

A Washington Heights filmmaker will premiere his new documentary, “The Incredibly Spectacular Dyckman Fireworks Co.,” about Inwood’s own annual fireworks tradition, a showdown staged by residents in the streets.
