Ok folks the television premiere of Lemonwill take place on PBS this weekend (Check local listings). For those that don’t know, Lemon Andersen is an award-winning poet, playwright and quite simply a dynamo of a performer. The movie Lemon takes you behind the scenes of Lemon’s life as he adapts to life after becoming a star on Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam. Lemon finding himself back in the projects with family in tow and desperate for a way out, turns inward to create the masterful County of Kings. I have seen County of Kings multiple times and each time I came away even more moved by Lemon’s honesty, mastery and sheer brilliance. The movie is also available for purchase as well as On-Demand. Directed by Laura Brownson and Beth Levison, Lemon is truly must-see TV.
