Registration Open for Free After-School Theatre Program for Children

Live Your Life!, The People’s Theatre Project FREE after-school program for kids ages 6-11 is all about using theatre to explore the 10 Habits of Healthy Kids.

The program starts up again on January 25th. The last session ended in December with a brilliant play created by these creative young actors featuring the new hit songs “Healthiness Yea” and “Healthy Style” as well as some unforgettable characters like the Too-Much-TV Monster.

Program Details:

Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 – 5pm

January 25th  – March 22nd

At The Columbia Community Partnership for Health (CCPH)

390 Ft. Washington Ave at 178th Street.

The culminating performance at the Morris-Jumel Mansion will be on the final day of the program, March 22nd at 5:30pm.

A mandatory orientation for parents of new participants will be held on January 23rd, 2013 at 3:30pm at CCPH.

WHAT IS LIVE YOUR LIFE?

This 15-session after-school program, a collaboration of People’s Theatre Project and NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia’s CHALK program, engages children ages 5 – 12 in theatre games and activities that explore the 10 habits of healthy kids. The program culminates in a new theatre piece created by the children celebrating what it means to live your life!

WHAT DOES IT COST

Participation is free. We do encourage all participating families to become a member of People’s Theatre Project. Yearly memberships begin at the $30 level.
