This has been another exceptional year for the New York Latino Film Festival. While there are a bunch of movies I still want to see, the standout for me, by a long shot, is Lemon. Lemon tells the story of Lemon Andersen, the incredibly gifted Puerto Rican poet and his struggles of putting on a solo show. To see Lemon perform live is akin to watching a tornado in full force destroying everything in its wake. Lemon Anderson is just that talented, bold and charismatic. Lemon is a force of nature. There are 2 showings of the movie on Saturday, August 18th so don’t sleep and be there for this must-see film.
