From the Page to the Stage: A Literary Walking Tour of Northern Manhattan

The winds of change are blowing. If you listen carefully, you will here them. This year’s Uptown Arts Stroll has been rejuvenated by them. The Uptown Collective, the Bago Bunch and the People’s Theatre Project have joined forces to produce From the Page to the Stage, a walking tour/literary extravaganza right here in Uptown NYC on Saturday, June 11th. So if you’re thing is sophistication and cultural flair with a dash of intellectual heft then we have got you covered. Join us in celebrating the arts and culture of this vibrant and wonderful community. You know the motto: Spread love it’s the Uptown way!

5PM: American PlaceTheatre’s Literature to Life Stage Adaptations of THE BRIEF WONDROUS LIFE OF OSCAR WAO by Junot Diaz and DOWN THESE MEAN STREETS by Piri Thomas at the MalcolmX & Dr.Betty Shabazz Memorial & Educational Center (3940 Broadway)
